WIC Mother to Mother Breastfeeding Support Group and Classes! You are invited to join our Okanogan Family Health Centers WIC breastfeeding support group. The WIC program welcomes pregnant and breastfeeding moms and their support person to meet others who plan to breastfeed or are currently breastfeeding. Classes to be held January 30th @ 1:00pm in English and 3:00 pm in Spanish; in the South Annex building just south of the clinic, 726 - 1st Ave. S., Okanogan, in the Cascade room. Tonasket classes:  February 29th & March 28th at 1:00 pm in English and February 29th & March 28th at 3:00 pm in Spanish; located at the FHC Tonasket WIC office. Please, adults and breastfeeding infants only.

 
Winter Wellness!  Sponsored by the Fit for Life Community Coalition.  Join them for a free full-body tune-up.  Learn nutritional strategies and tips, fitness strategies and techniques and increase your knowledge on how to live a life of overall fitness.  Classes start January 9th, 2012 at the East Omak Elementary school; 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.  Classes will run January through March on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.  Contact Haley Mckee, Coordinator at 509-826-7680 for more information.
 
"Living Well with Chronic Conditions" An FHC Chronic Conditions Support Group.  Presented in English. 6 workshop sessions are held each Monday, February 6th through March 12th from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Family Health Centers South Annex building; 726 - 1st Ave. S., Okanogan. This group is open to all individuals, family members, friends or caregivers of people with long-term illness.  For more information and to register call Leilani Goudeau RN, BSN at 509-422-7602.

FYI. Free Gym!  Omak High School Gym.  Open to the public!  Monday - Friday 3 to 6 pm and Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30 to 7:30 am.  Weights, elliptical, treadmills, etc. 20 S. Cedar St., Omak.
